What we collect
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, subject and message you provide so we can respond.
When you submit a prayer request, we collect your name, email address, prayer category, any private details you choose to include, and your sharing and subscription choices. When you subscribe to emails, we collect your email address, subscription choices and confirmation and engagement records.
The services running this site also receive technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, pages visited and request times, to operate the site, prevent abuse and understand its use.
Prayer requests can contain sensitive information. Please include only what is needed, and do not include another person’s private information without their permission.
Prayer requests and sharing
Prayer requests are saved on this website for review and emailed to the prayer-request mailbox. Site administrators can access them, and hosting and email providers process information needed to operate these services. The acknowledgment sent to you does not repeat your private prayer details.
Permission to share is a separate, optional choice. Without it, your request stays out of the weekly prayer letter. If you give permission, only your first name, last initial and general prayer category may appear. Your full surname, email address and private prayer details will not be included.
Even these limited details may identify you to someone who knows you. You can ask us to withdraw permission for future sharing; information already delivered to readers cannot necessarily be recalled.
Email choices
Submitting a prayer request or contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to other emails. Beyond acknowledging or responding to your request, we won’t send you other emails unless you opt in. Joining the Prayer Guild’s email letter is optional and requires confirmation.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a mailing or by contacting us. Unsubscribing stops mailings but does not automatically delete other stored records.
Services, analytics and cookies
We use service providers to receive and store requests, host the site, deliver email and protect against spam. They process information needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and site activity. Email analytics can record opens and link clicks, and cookies may be used to measure activity and protect the site. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking some may affect site features.
Retention and your choices
Prayer requests and subscriber records have no fixed automatic deletion date and may be retained indefinitely unless manually removed. Email, log and backup copies may follow different retention schedules.
To ask about your information, request a copy, correction or deletion, or withdraw sharing permission, use the contact form. Other websites linked from this site have their own privacy policies. We’ll update this policy when practices change.
